Ministry of Foreign Affairs Announces the “2025 Internship Program for Young Students at Overseas International Non-Governmental Organizations (INGOs)”

To enhance opportunities for young students in Taiwan to engage with international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) and gain practical experience, thereby fostering talent in international NGO affairs, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) is launching the “2025 Internship Program for Young Students at Overseas International Non-Governmental Organizations (INGOs).” The following are the key details:

Number of Interns: 3-5 individuals

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be a citizen of the Republic of China (Taiwan) between the ages of 18 and 35.
  • They must be currently enrolled in a domestic university or college. Priority will be given to those with prior international participation and domestic NGO internship experience.
  • Applicants must be recommended by their educational institution with an official letter.
  • Must have obtained confirmation of internship from the intended INGO.
  • Must possess fluent English or the communication language required by the INGO, and provide relevant language proficiency certification.
  • Must not be concurrently receiving subsidies from other government agencies in Taiwan.
  • Priority will be given to those with international exchange and NGO internship experience, and those who have participated in MOFA’s related training programs.

Subsidy Details:

  • The program will subsidize 60% of the round-trip economy class airfare via the most direct route to the internship location, visa fees, and basic insurance. These expenses will be reimbursed upon submission of receipts.
  • A monthly living allowance will be provided for up to two months.
  • The total subsidy per intern is capped at NT$200,000.
