The College of Science at National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) celebrated its 70th anniversary by hosting the “2025 Taiwan-Europe-Australia Science Collaboration Symposium” on February 17-18. The event brought together 20 scholars from eight academic institutions across the Czech Republic, Germany, Romania, and Australia, focusing on five key areas: mathematics, physics, chemistry, earth sciences, and university administration. This symposium served as a platform to strengthen international collaboration and academic exchange.

Participating institutions included Charles University (Czech Republic), the University of Göttingen (Germany), Babeș-Bolyai University (Romania), and the University of Queensland (Australia). Scholars engaged in discussions on research advancements and educational strategies, reinforcing global academic connections.

Committed to internationalization, the College of Science boasts faculty members from 23 countries, with international students making up 12% of the student body, positioning NTNU as one of Taiwan’s leading institutions. This year, the “BEST” initiative was launched to further enhance global partnerships, academic development, and talent exchange. NTNU has joined multiple international alliances and established dual-degree programs, student exchange opportunities, and 900 fully English-taught courses in collaboration with universities in the United States, Europe, and beyond, expanding its global impact.

By fostering deeper ties with international partners, this symposium marks an important step toward strengthening NTNU’s global academic network. Moving forward, efforts will continue to create a more dynamic and competitive academic environment for students and scholars alike.
