In response to the global decarbonization trend, National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) and Singapore-based Cedars Digital signed an MOU on March 25 to cultivate carbon management professionals in the Asia-Pacific region. Vice President Dr. Kwunmin Chen emphasized the collaboration’s goal of integrating academic and industry resources to equip enterprises with essential green talent. Dr. Shin-Cheng Yeh, Professor at Graduate Institute of Sustainability Management and Environmental Education, highlighted the urgent need for professionals who can bridge science and practical implementation.
The curriculum covers carbon inventory (ISO 14064-1), carbon neutrality planning, and international climate policies, complemented by Cedars Digital CEO Torrent Chin’s AI-powered platform “CarbonM” for hands-on training. Cedars Digital will also provide students with internships, certification support, and job opportunities. The partnership aims to train over 1,000 professionals within three years, supporting industries in achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.
