【Announcement】Application for the 2026 Fall Semester Double Master’s Degree Program with the University of Cincinnati (UC)

Dear Students,

The College of Science and the College of Technology and Engineering at National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) have signed a college-level agreement with the University of Cincinnati (UC), USA, to establish a Double Master’s Degree Program.
Applications are now open for admission in the Fall Semester of 2026.

(Note: The application period for the Spring 2026 intake has ended. Please do not inquire about that term.)

Program Overview

This is a double-degree program in which students are simultaneously registered at both NTNU and UC. Upon completing the required credits at both institutions, students will be awarded two master’s degrees.

  1. At NTNU:Students must complete their master’s thesis and meet all graduation requirements as prescribed by NTNU.
  2. At UC:Students will pursue the Master of Engineering (MEng) degree, which requires a total of 30 credits. No thesis is required, but students must complete a Capstone/Internship Course as a graduation requirement.
  3. The credit structure is evenly divided between NTNU and UC, and credits may be mutually recognized.
  4. This double-degree program offers valuable international learning experience and enhances career opportunities in diverse professional fields.

Eligibility

  1. Applicants must be current master’s studentsof the College of Science or the College of Technology and Engineering at NTNU.
  2. Applicants must meet UC’s admission requirements, including:
    • GPA of 0/4.0 (or 75%)and above
    • English proficiency: TOEFL iBT 85, IELTS 6.5, or PTE 59
    • Applicants holding a degree from an English-medium program may be exempt from the test requirement.

  6. Supplementary Materials (optional):
    Published or submitted research, competition awards, international project or conference experience, additional language certificates, or other supporting documents relevant to the review.

Notes

  1. All applications will first undergo internal screening and nominationat the College level before being forwarded to UC for official review.
  2. There is no fixed format for application materials, but all documents must be compiled into a single PDF file.
  3. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted.
