[Program Announcement] 2026 Kanazawa University Short-Term Study Program (June Session)

The College of Science’s partner institution, Kanazawa University, is now accepting applications for its June 2026 Short-Term Study Program in Japanese Language and Culture. This program offers participants an immersive learning experience through academic instruction, cultural activities, and intercultural exchange.

While the original deadline was March 25, the application period for our students has been extended to the end of March. Interested students are encouraged to apply!

Program Information
Program Period: June 8–19, 2026 (Two weeks).
Special Note: As the first week coincides with our university’s final exam week, students may choose to participate in the second week only. Please note that the full program fee (approx. NT$6,000) still applies.

Location: Kanazawa University, Japan.
Program Highlights:

  1. Japanese Language Classes: Includes Basic Japanese for daily life, social interaction, shopping, and survival Japanese.
  2. Cultural Experiences: Traditional craft experience, cultural study tour to Kenrokuen Garden, Japanese martial arts, and lectures on Japanese culture.
  3. Exchange Activities: Interactions with Japanese students, welcome dinner, and a final cultural exchange presentation.

Fee Description

  1. Program Fee: 30,000 JPY (Approx. NT$6,000).
  2. Accommodation: The university will arrange hotel accommodation from June 7 to June 18. The total cost for the 11-night stay is approximately 50,260 JPY.
  3. Other Costs: Participants are responsible for international airfare, transportation within Japan, daily commuting costs, and meals.
  4. Estimated Total: The combined cost of the program fee and accommodation is expected to be within 100,000 JPY.

Eligibility and Capacity
Target Audience: Currently enrolled students at partner universities.
Language Requirements: Sufficient English proficiency for academic participation is required. (Japanese language proficiency is not required) .
Capacity: Up to 30 students.
