[Call for Applications] British Council ISPF Early-Career Researcher Fellowships at the University of Southampton

The College of Science is pleased to announce that the British Council is now inviting applications for the International Science Partnerships Fund (ISPF) – Early-Career Researcher (ECR) Fellowships.

The University of Southampton is specifically seeking Taiwanese early-career researchers to join their School of Engineering for a one-year fellowship. Given the upcoming deadline, eligible researchers are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.

【Priority Research Areas】 The fellowship focuses on the following three key themes:

  1. Intelligent Structural Optimization using Physics-Informed Reinforcement Learning.
  2. AI-Enhanced Digital Twin Framework for Smart and Sustainable Advanced Manufacturing.
  3. Advanced Multifunctional Materials.

【Eligibility】

  • Target Applicants: Early-Career Researchers (ECRs) who have completed or are close to completing their PhD (must pass the final viva voce before taking up the award).
  • Career Stage: Applicants must not have held a permanent academic post, a post involving the supervision of PhD students, or have previously submitted research grants as a Principal Investigator (PI).
  • Duration: The fellowship is for a period of one year.
