The College of Science is pleased to announce that the British Council is now inviting applications for the International Science Partnerships Fund (ISPF) – Early-Career Researcher (ECR) Fellowships.
The University of Southampton is specifically seeking Taiwanese early-career researchers to join their School of Engineering for a one-year fellowship. Given the upcoming deadline, eligible researchers are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.
【Priority Research Areas】 The fellowship focuses on the following three key themes:
- Intelligent Structural Optimization using Physics-Informed Reinforcement Learning.
- AI-Enhanced Digital Twin Framework for Smart and Sustainable Advanced Manufacturing.
- Advanced Multifunctional Materials.
【Eligibility】
- Target Applicants: Early-Career Researchers (ECRs) who have completed or are close to completing their PhD (must pass the final viva voce before taking up the award).
- Career Stage: Applicants must not have held a permanent academic post, a post involving the supervision of PhD students, or have previously submitted research grants as a Principal Investigator (PI).
- Duration: The fellowship is for a period of one year.
