Faculty and students from Dong-A University in South Korea visited Taiwan for overseas studies and toured the College of Science at National Taiwan Normal University.

Dean Chia Chih-ta of the College of Science reported on the physics debate and Taipei Science Day, followed by a presentation from Director Ying-Wen Hsu on the Institute of Science Education. Professor Mei-Hung Chiu then reported on the current status of science popularization activities promoted by the Ministry of Science and Technology. Finally, the China Association for Science and Technology introduced the current status of science popularization efforts in China, leading to mutual exchanges between both sides.

This seminar is an international conference organized in rotation by our sister institutions: Pukyong National University (South Korea), Niigata University (Japan), Kyushu University (Japan), Gyeongsang National University (South Korea), Tohoku University (Japan), National Taiwan Normal University, National Sun Yat-sen University, National Cheng Kung University, and Chung Yuan Christian University. The 4th ICNS2015 will be hosted by our college. The seminar aims to promote interaction, share research outcomes from sister institutions, and provide opportunities for graduate students to present their papers. The conference will be divided into five areas: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Science Education & Earth Science.
