December 25, 2024 – Nantou Private Pu Tai Senior High School
Vice Principal Zhi-Yang Hong from Pu Tai High School led 96 students and 5 teachers on a visit to our college. The first part of the visit included an introduction to each department by the heads of the Departments of Physics, Chemistry, Earth Sciences, Computer Science, and School of Life Sciences. The second part involved dividing the students into groups to tour the facilities and resources of the Departments of Physics, Chemistry, Earth Sciences, and the School of Life Sciences, allowing the students to gain a deeper understanding of the learning environment in these departments.
December 4, 2024 – Taipei Private Tsai Hsing Senior High School
Alumnus of the Department of Physics, Dong-Yong Zhang, once again led a group of teachers and students from Tsai Hsing Senior High School to visit our institution. This visit was attended by 15 teachers and students, who toured the laboratories and facilities related to nanotechnology in the Department of Chemistry and Department of Physics. The visit was aligned with Tsai Hsing Senior High School’s “Introduction to Nanotechnology” course, aiming to enhance the high school students’ understanding of nanotechnology research and familiarize them with the College of Science at National Taiwan Normal University.
May 22, 2024 – Hsinchu Private Yi Ming Senior High School
A total of 22 students and 1 teacher from Yi Ming Senior High School participated in the visit. The College of Science arranged department presentations in the morning by the Departments of Mathematics, Physics, Life Sciences, Earth Sciences, and Computer Science. In the afternoon, students were divided into groups for in-depth exchanges with the respective departments.
April 12, 2024 – New Taipei Municipal Shiding High School
A total of 30 students and 2 teachers from Shiding High School participated in the visit. The College of Science arranged department presentations in the morning by the Departments of Mathematics, Physics, Life Sciences, Earth Sciences, and Computer Science. In the afternoon, students were divided into groups for in-depth exchanges with the respective departments.
December 7, 2023 – Taipei Private Tsai Hsing Senior High School
Vice Principal Dong-Yong Zhang led 12 teachers and students to visit the nanotechnology-related laboratories and courses in the Departments of Chemistry and Physics at the College of Science. This visit was planned in conjunction with Tsai Hsing School’s “Introduction to Nanotechnology” course to enhance high school students’ understanding of nanotechnology research and their knowledge of NTNU.
December 6, 2022 – Taipei Private Tsai Hsing Senior High School
In coordination with Tsai Hsing School’s “Introduction to Nanotechnology” course, the visit was arranged to enhance high school students’ understanding of nanotechnology research and introduce them to the “Nanotechnology Course & Laboratory” at NTNU’s College of Science.
December 2, 2022 – National Keelung Senior High School
The College of Science arranged department presentations in the morning by the Departments of Mathematics, Physics, Life Sciences, Earth Sciences, and Computer Science. In the afternoon, students were divided into groups for in-depth exchanges with the respective departments. A total of 58 students and 6 teachers participated in the visit.

2024 Visit by the Academy of Preparatory Programs for Overseas Chinese Students
- Spring Program
- Launch a Spring Program offering short-term courses focused on specific skills or knowledge areas, such as field research and environmental science, open to contracted partner schools in Japan (Kwansei Gakuin University, Yamaguchi University).
- The program has been successfully held in 2016–2019 and again in 2024 and 2025, receiving positive feedback and support! This allows Japanese students to gain a deeper understanding of Taiwan, interact with NTNU faculty and students, and increase their willingness for future exchange visits to Taiwan.
March 20 ~ March 26, 2025 – Eighth Edition
This year’s Spring Program is organized by Professor Yeh, Meng-Wan from the Department of Earth Sciences. The program focuses on the theme of “Ocean” and integrates a rich field study curriculum. The program is led by Professors Motohiro Tsuboi and Kazuya Shimooka from Kwansei Gakuin University, along with seven students. The main sites visited include the Chigu Lagoon in Tainan, the National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium, Kenting National Park in Pingtung, and the 921 Earthquake Education Park in Taichung. Additionally, the group stayed for three nights at the National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium, engaging in immersive experiences and interactions with the ocean, embarking on a fulfilling learning journey.
March 9 ~ March 17, 2024 – Seventh Edition
Due to the impact of the pandemic, this in-person short-term program was suspended for four years and resumed in 2024. It was led by Professors Motohiro Tsuboi, Masahiro Mikuriya, and Yuko Sugai from Kwansei Gakuin University, with 13 students participating. The program featured five courses, including a special lecture on applied geometry from the Department of Mathematics, a scientific discovery course from the Department of Physics, an animal behavior course from the Department of Life Science, a course on making buckyballs from the Department of Chemistry, and an interactive sustainability course from the Graduate Institute of Science Education. The Department of Earth Sciences arranged a three-day field trip , covering the Hsuehshan Tunnel Museum in Yilan, Taroko National Park (including Swallow Grotto Trail, Changchun Shrine, Qingshui Cliff), Asia Cement Ecological Park, Jade Polishing DIY Workshop in Hualien, and the Gold Museum in New Taipei. Additionally, a full-day and half-day tour of Taipei was planned, which included visits to the National Palace Museum, Fort San Domingo, Tamsui Old Street, Ximending, Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall, Taipei 101, and Elephant Mountain (Xiangshan).
March 12 ~ March 20, 2019 – Fourth Edition
This edition was led by Professors Motohiro Tsuboi and Masahiro Mikuriya from Kwansei Gakuin University with 15 students, and an additional 11 students from Yamaguchi University. The College of Science designed five courses covering a magic of mathematics workshop from the Department of Mathematics, a bioluminescence course from the Department of Life Science, a cybersecurity course from the Department of Computer Science, a buckyball-making workshop from the Department of Chemistry, and a course on connecting with nature from the Graduate Institute of Environmental Education. The Earth Sciences department hosted a three-day field trip, with visiting to the Hsuehshan Tunnel Museum, whale watching at Turtle Island in Yilan, the 921 Earthquake Education Park in Taichung, the Chelungpu Fault Preservation Park, Mingjian Leaning Tower, Toushe Basin, Mingtan Power Plant, and Jiji Earthquake Park in Nantou. The field trip also included tours of famous sites such as Jiufen Old Street in New Taipei and Sun Moon Lake in Nantou. A full-day Taipei tour was planned, including the National Palace Museum, Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall, Taipei 101, and Ximending.
March 4 ~ March 11, 2018 – Third Edition
Professor Motohiro Tsuboi from Kwansei Gakuin University led 16 students, and Professor Nobuyuki Sakai from Yamaguchi University brought 6 students to participate. The program expanded to five courses, including a puzzle-solving workshop from the Department of Mathematics, a chemiluminescence experiment from the Department of Chemistry, a reptile-focused course from the Department of Life Science, a cybersecurity workshop from the Department of Computer Science, and a wetland course from the Graduate Institute of Environmental Education. The Earth Sciences department led a three-day field study, with visits to the 308 Highland, the South Taiwan Astronomy Park, Taijiang National Park, Sicao Green Tunnel in Tainan, and Kenting National Park in Pingtung (incluging Hengchun Fossil Ecology Station, the National Museum of Marine Biology, Jialeshui, and the Fire Rocks).
March 12 ~ March 19, 2017 – Second Edition
This short-term exchange program was led by two professors: Professor Motohiro Tsuboi from Kwansei Gakuin University, who brought 11 students, and Professor Nobuyuki Sakai from Yamaguchi University, who brought 10 students. The courses were expanded to four, including puzzle-solving and mathematical art and design from the Department of Mathematics, a reptile course from the Department of Life Science, and a chemiluminescence experiment from the Department of Chemistry. The Earth Sciences department combined its course with a three-day field trip, visiting Taroko National Park, the Tropic of Cancer Marker Park, the tectonic plate boundary in Yuli, Asia Cement Ecological Park, Chihsing Tan Katsuo Museum, Baibao River in Hualoen, the Jiaoxi Hot Spring Park in Yilan, Gold Museum, and Yehliu Geopark in New Taipei.
March 14 ~ March 20, 2016 – First Edition
This was the inaugural Spring Program, with 16 students from Kwansei Gakuin University, led by Professor Motohiro Tsuboi, and one student from Yamaguchi University, led by Professor Nobuyuki Sakai. The program included courses from three departments: a course on organic compounds from the Department of Chemistry, an ecosystem course from the Department of Life Science, and an earthquake course from the Department of Earth Sciences. To enhance students’ understanding of Taiwan’s geological environment, a two-day field study was organized, visiting the Tatun Volcano Group in Taipei, Yehliu Geopark in New Taipei, and Lianhuachih in Nantou.

- Regularly hold online English workshops for the public, delivered via professional online platforms.
- The workshops cover various topics such as digital skills, language learning, and career development.
- Invite popular English teachers, influencers, and renowned educators from both domestic and international backgrounds to increase interaction and visibility.
